Our Very First *REALLY GOOD* {GIVEAWAY}

Are you ready for this?! The first ever Your Life Uncommon giveaway! And it's a goodie! PLUS it gives you an opportunity to help out too! Here's the skinny......

Access to books is essential to reading development. However, did you know that over 80 percent of childcare centers serving low-income children lack age-appropriate books? And a recent study shows that the ratio of books per child in middle income neighborhoods is 13 to 1, while in low-income neighborhoods, the ratio is 1 age-appropriate book for every 300 children.

The Cheerios family of cereals, First Book and Jon Scieszka, author of the popular "Trucktown" series and other children´s books, have joined together to deliver 100,000 books to community-based programs serving children in need - and we´d love your help! All you have to do is go online with your child and test your combined knowledge of children´s books by answering trivia questions related to "Trucktown" and other great children´s books.

For every trivia question answered correctly, you can cast one vote for the state you would like to receive books. The five states receiving the most votes will get 20,000 books each, for a total of 100,000 books. Visit www.FirstBook.org/Scieszka to test your knowledge and start voting.

Now for you.....

Cheerios recently sent me a gift package, along with the information above, through MyBlogSpark. It included an assortment of children's books, which my little Mal is LOVING, a box of Frosted Cheerios and a $25 Gift Card for Barnes and Noble!

Now it just so happens that they would LOVE to do the same for one of you! Nice, right?! Yeah, they are pretty darn good to us!

Here is what I need from you:
  •  Leave a comment by clicking the "Comment" link below. Tell me one of your favorite Children's books. Easy right?!
  • Want a better shot at winning? Include a link to this site on your own blog or email it to as many people as you would like. Tell them about this great little giveaway, and about the blog, if you would like. Then encourage your friends to enter also, by leaving a comment here. Make sure to tell them to include your name in their comment.  Now they will be entered and YOU will receive another entry each time someone includes your name in a comment. Think of the possiblities! :) Your friends are then eligible to do the same thing!
All entries must be received by MONDAY, DECEMBER 28th at 7PM.

The winner will be chosen by Random.Org and results will be up on Monday night!

GOOD LUCK and HAVE FUN SPREADING THE WORD!

THANKS A BUNCH!
