Gratitude In The Face of Adversity

I made this video for a meeting I was speaking at. The topic was Gratitude in the Face of Adversity.

I had premature twins at 26 weeks. My little girl had a heart surgery, eye surgery and 2 brain surgeries. My little boy, our miracle, over 40 surgeries. 27 of them on his brain. They are now 4 1/2. Mallory is doing great. She is and always has been a source of joy for all of us.  Dawson is perfect! He is on loan from the Lord. His time is limited, but everyday is a profound blessing in our lives!

Looking back, there is no doubt that as we walk through trials and adversity with faith, we will see the hand of God.
Trials are an opportunity for us to see miracles, witness charity and come to know our Father In Heaven and His true character. He loves us beyond what we can even imagine! Jesus Christ is our Redeemer! Through the power of the Atonement we are able to find comfort and strength to handle even the hardest obstacles. Life comes with many trials. However, if instead of asking God, "Why Me?" with a feeling of being punished or unfairly treated, we ask "Why Me?" with an attitude of faith and understanding that these trials are experiences for our good, I KNOW that we are able to overcome and grow through ANYTHING! These experiences become the biggest blessings in our lives!

Our family is ever grateful for the priceless lessons we have learned throughout the last 4 years. We will continue for the rest of our lives to share our testimony we have gained of these truths. Anything is possible with faith! God loves us more than we can imagine. Jesus Christ lives and is our Savior. Families are Forever!

**The music in this video comes from a mix created by "steviedmormon". The song is: "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and can be found through "EFY" Music. Thanks for passing this on Steve!

**All 3 paintings of Christ are by Del Parson, our favorite artist. You can see a lot more from him at delparson.com
